A Seminar About "Webometric" in FCITR
A seminar in Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at Rabigh about "Webometric" presented by Dr. Abdul Manan Ahmad on Monday 23/5/2011 at 12:00 noon.
The following is a brief about the seminar:
The science of Webometric is concerned with the measurement of Web site, web pages, hyperlinks and web search engine result. The web itself  as a communication tools and for hosting a wide array of documents so with the presence of huge accessible sources of information there are limitless possibilities for measuring on huge scale especially in higher institutions. So this presentation would suggest the recommendations to help higher institutions, universities and R&D institutions to have an adequate web presence so the website would  accurately represent their resources and  activities thus providing visitor with a clear vision of the institution.
