Course Description
|
This course teaches the tools of networks management and maintenance, running in modern organizations.

Course Contents
|
§ Components and functions of networks operating systems.
§ The basics of network management (processors management - memory - Programs - input and output - help memory and files - network resources).
§ Sharing on the network and determine its levels.
§ Use of possible resources available through the levels of sharing.
§ Measuring bottlenecks on the network and ways to avoid them and restore performance.
§ Evaluate the performance of the network
§ Techniques for improve the performance of the network.
§ Network security.

Course Outcomes
|
Upon finishing this course, the student should:
§ Learn how to choose suitable hardware and software networks for a specific application.
§ Understand planning and analysis the long term function of network in organizations.
§ Understand the role of RFPS, RFQ, and RFI devices in the process of networks acquisition.
§ Manage Local area networks (LAN) and extended (WAN).
§ Manage PBX, telephone systems, ACD, voice processing devices, video-conferencing systems and devices.
§ Handle Disasters (networks down) and the ability to restore networks resources.
