Course Description
|
This course covers a wide range of subjects in Database Administration. The students will have a hands-on training about installation, configuration, administration, performance, security, backup and recovery, and enterprise services of databases.

§ Table and index manipulation

Course Outcomes
|
Upon finishing this course, the student should:
§ Understand the internal architecture and structure of a widely used database systems.
§ Be able to professionally manipulate database objects (tables, indexes, data files, and logs).
§ Have the skills to configure and apply data integrity rules and constraints.
§ Be able to set-up and perform back-up and recovery procedures.
§ Understand and mange locking and concurrency mechanisms
§ Be able to set-up, configure, and utilize the network services of a database.
